A couple of days back, Three UK had posted HTC Flyer details on its website and now the discount courier is armed with the tablet
and is all set to enthrall technophiles. The tablet is up for grabs online and is also available offline through Three stores.
However, things get a bit disappointing when you dig a little deeper. The carrier had outlined the suggested monthly contract price at £25 but the actual monthly shock to your pocket will now be £30.99 instead. You will also have to pay £169 upfront. The monthly package offers free 15 GB of data usage. The company declared, "Three is the mobile network that carries the most UK data traffic so it's important that we offer the best connected devices."
The tablet is HTC's maiden attempt to break into the burgeoning tablet market. This 7-inch tablet runs on Gingerbread version of Android operating system, which has been overlaid with HTC's Sense UI skin. While the 3G version is out in the UK, the US will be welcoming the Wi-Fi version of the tablet on May 22nd. Best Buy has been appointed as the exclusive retailer for HTC Flyer Wi-Fi. However, Best Buy is keeping mum about the pricing, which is all good, as Three UK experience has now taught us not to believe the pre-emptive pricing announcements.
