Three UK Brings HTC Flyer: Also Partners with Google Chromebook

Three UK seems to have pre-empted HTC, which yet has to announce its UK pricing for Flyer tablet. The discount carrier has published its own pricing plan for the tablet.  If you are ready to get bound by a 2 year contract, then the latest 7 inch tablet can be yours for mere £169, though you will have to pay £25 every month for next 24 months. The plan will give you 15 GB data every month.

The tablet is likely to be stocked by other carriers such as Vodafone as well, however, none of the other carriers have disclosed their pricing plans. However, if you do not want to be tied down by a contract, then you just have to shell out £480 for the tablet. HTC Flyer is a 7 inch tablet and weighs 420 grams. The tablet is aesthetically pleasing with no protruding physical buttons. It sports a good camera with 5 MP resolution, but sans flash. It also has microSD card slot, so that you can easily augment its storage capacity. It also features a Micro- USB slot.

However, HTC Flyer is not the only new product coming out of the House of Three UK. The carrier has also reported that it has been selected as the 3G partner for Google's new Chromebook. Recently, the internet search giant launched its Chrome OS equipped notebooks, branded as 'Chromebooks'. The notebooks will be made by Samsung.

Unlike HTC Flyer, Chromebook has not been priced by Three UK as yet. The notebook is likely to hit the UK market on 24th of June. Its 3G version has been priced at £399. Apparently, Acer is also working on its version of Chromebook. The more the merrier, keep watching this space for getting more information about the new Chrome OS equipped notebooks.
