Thinking of Katie: What Can O2 Do For You?

Good customer care is an essential for network providers. We all have trouble with our phones at one or other point and it's reassuring to know that with at least some companies we'll be treated well. But how do we know who takes their customer's seriously and who doesn't? It all used to be word of mouth but now Networks are going that extra mile, to show us that they go that extra mile. Remember the T-mobile adverts featuring flashmobs? Well everyone's at it now. The latest company to get its customers smiling is O2.

Continuing its long music heritage O2 staged a gig for an intimate 400 people crowd with one of Britain's hottest rap-stars Tinie Tempah at, (unsurprisingly) the O2 Academy in Islington. But little did O2 customer Katie Holmes know that the gig was to get even smaller, a lot smaller. In a genius twist on the flash mob, O2 had developed the flash exit and in the blink of an eye the entire room was empty leaving Katie on her own, being personally serenaded by Tinie. Luckily she didn't assume there was a fire and run off along with the crowd, nor did she die of embarrassment. In  fact she had a wonderful time. "The best day of my life" she said, "I'll never forget it." Tinie was equally pleased with the stunt saying "It's one of my Tinniest gigs to date, but also one of my best."

An advertisement clip of Katie's experience was shown during Britain's got Talent, if you missed scroll down the page and check it out. You can also head to the website thinkingofkatie.co.uk to see a footage of the performance.

So what would you want if O2 were treating you? A visit from a film star, a secret gig after work, a giant street party or would you be happy to be in Katie's shoes and receive a one to one performance from Tinie? Leave a comment below and let us know.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
