The Queen Gets Staff To Buy Her iPad 2

As far a product endorsements go you can get much better than the Queen, well after seeing her grandsons' using their latest piece of tech the iPad 2 - she now wants one.

“The princes think it is hilarious,” a royal insider said, he added: “They love the fact that their gran wants an iPad and think she’s really cool.”

Reportedly Her Majesty already has two iPods, one of which is full of 1,500 song which she uses when she is on trips abroad.

Quoting a royal insider - the Queen was “particularly taken with how easy it was to use, the large screen and how light it was.

“For a woman of her age, she is very switched on. It was only a matter of time before she asked someone to go and get her one,” the insider added.

The Queen is not backwards when it comes to technology, with the 85-year-old checking out everything from email to 3D, but it’s probably fair to label her an early trier rather than early adopter.

We’re relatively certain that she will be given help putting on the latest Apps - after all who would deal with iTunes when one can get the footman to do it?

And we’d love to know how many stars she gets on Cut the Rope - considering she’s being cutting ribbons all her life.

President Barack Obama gave her another iPod when he came to London in 2009. It was loaded with images of her trip to Virginia as part of her official tour of the US two years earlier.

The source said: “The Queen has a mobile phone as well as the iPods, so an iPad is the logical progression. She thinks it will be great to keep her entertained on all the long trips she has to make.”

Were sure if Her Majesty asked Apple they send her one, they would certainly send her one with a royal insignia, after all she is the head of the common wealth.
