HTC Pyramid or HTC Sensation?…All Set for UK Launch

We got to hear about HTC Pyramid earlier this year and now the dual core device is ready to hit the store shelves in the UK. Although, the phone specs are expected to remain the same, but the phone will have a new moniker. Looks like HTC will be debuting the phone under new name 'HTC Sensation'. As for its launch date, though no definite date has been given by the company, but we expect the phone to be launched during HTC event in London, which is scheduled for next week.

With the launch of HTC Pyramid aka Sensation, we will be able to add one more phone to ever growing list of dual core phones. The phone will have 1.2 GHz dual core processor under the hood. Keeping up with flourishing trend of humongous phones, this new device is also expected to come with massive 4.3 inch screen. These specifications certainly make you think if electronics industry is looking to blur the divide between phones and tablets. While many a tablets are shrinking to 7-inches size, the phones are increasingly getting bigger. Now, do you remember the times when iPhone's 3.5 screen was considered to be luxuriously big?

Anyways, the phone will be able to record and stream true HD 1080p videos. Again, even this feature has become more or less standard feature for any respectable phone. And yet another non-news feature of the phone is its Gingerbread operating system. As for camera, the phone will sport an 8MP rear facing camera, and there is no word on the front facing camera, but we can assure you that it won't be a VGA camera.

In the US, the phone is rumored to collaborate with T-Mobile USA, however, no such rumor is doing rounds for its UK venture. Although, whispers about the phone started at the beginning of the year, but surprisingly, the phone was conspicuous by its absence at major tradeshows like Mobile World Congress and CTIA. The mystery is sure going to add to its allure. Keep watching this space for further info.
