Nintendo 3DS Breaks Pre-Order Record in the UK

Despite numerous warnings and subsequent rebuttals, Nintendo 3DS seems to be holding its turf strong. The gaming console caused frenzy in Japan on its introduction and looks like it is all set to perform an encore on its UK debut.

The console is up for pre orders on Amazon UK and has already claimed the top spot for being the most pre-ordered game console in the UK history. The device can be pre-ordered for £187 or $381. The UK price is considerably higher than $249.99, which the folks in the US will have to shell out when the console makes its debut on March 27th.

The game console, as its name suggests, is a 3D capable device, which provides 3D experience without glasses. It has a built-in 3D depth slider, which lets you custom set the intensity of your 3D settings and when the novelty of 3D wears off, you can also choose to turn it down completely. You will still be able to play your 3D games on the console. It has two screens with different resolutions. Its upper screen comes with 800 x 240 resolution for 3D effect, whereas bottom screen ha s320x240 resolution. Its two outer cameras are designed to aid the creation of 3D photos. With adjustable stylus, Nintendo 3DS is designed for success. The console is available in blue and black color.

The company has already announced a slew of 3DS games and among the major ones are Asphalt 3D, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

However, the console has also met with the skeptics. There had been a huge debate whether the console is capable of harming young people's eyesight. Both the sides have presented their points but the issue is far from settled. Lately, there had been rumors that the console is actually good for detecting eye problems in children.
