So, are you all set for grabbing your iPad 2 when it finally arrives in the UK market at the end of this month, then here is the good news for you!
Vodafone has now joined the iPad2 bandwagon and has confirmed that it would be stocking up the tablet. The carrier will offer 3G+ Wi-Fi model of the tablet with dedicated data plans.
Although it did not provide any details about the plans it sure specified that the plans would be appealing enough. The company website will let you register yourself for receiving updates about the coveted device. Vodafone is also claiming to provide 2-4 working days delivery time. Not too shabby, considering that currently iPad 2 is coming with 3-4 weeks delivery time caveat in the US.
If you somehow do not like Vodafone, then you have another option. Three UK has also announced that it would be offering the Apple tablet as and when it arrives in the UK.
Three UK is known for its attractive data plans, so if you are looking to buy 3G iPad2 with a reasonably priced data contract then Three UK may be the best option around for you. However, this is merely a conjecture as following the footsteps of Vodafone, even Three has not specified its data plan.
iPad2 was launched in the US on March 11th and as expected, the tablet was sold out in a matter of hours on its debut day. iPad2 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
However, despite the widespread speculation, it retained its original screen. Before the launch of the tablet, there were rumors that Apple may choose Retina display for its avant-garde tablet. Although, we need to accept that the rumor was a bit too far-fetched, since it would not have been an easy task to use a 10 inch size retina display, while keeping the price point steady. Despite various improvements and additions such as dual cameras, the Cupertino company maintained the pricing of the new tablet on the same level.

I can’t wait to get my hands on one. I’ve even booked Friday 25th off work; am I sad ? !
It will be interesting to see the demand for the device in the UK. I guess the queue size will answer that one.
I’m still undecided on the fancy magnetic cover Apple have produced. Is it worth the extra money?
