Here is our second pet hate. Well not much a hate as guide to making things better. Whenever you look at your smartphone, what the one thing you long for. A bigger screen. It’s obvious really.
Watching TV on 42-inch TV – and you can’t help but think, this would be so much better in 50-inches – it’s just in our genes and – a natural prehistoric urge – Man makes fire, other man makes even bigger fire. And so on and so on. It’s a natural human progression.
The folks at Apple are human, well just about, and they too have this urge. It seems that Apple will finally be moving the iPhone beyond the 3.5 inches, which we have been stuck with for so long.
Multiple Apple component suppliers have commented that the Next-Gen iPhone, most likely to on show at this years keynote, will be jumping into the 4+ inch maybe even 4.3 inches.
Why I hear you ask ? To compete with the success of Android based phones like the Nexus S, HTC EVO, and Samsung’s Galaxy devices all of which sport bigger than iPhone screens.
We are sure consumers will be shocked to see how, or if, Apple transitions into this change. Are we going to see a thicker iPhone? Will we get a higher resolution Retina Display? Or will they switch technologies to something like AMOLED?
Sound off in the comment section.
