Galaxy S II Available for Pre-order at £630

UK retailer Expansys has priced Galaxy S II at £630 or $1,020 whereas Play.com decided to play it a little safe by adorning thehandset with £600 price tag. The only consolation is that both the prices are for unlocked handsets. Play.com is also promising a 31st March release date. However, if you are planning to pre-order the phone, then we would advise you to wait a little longer, as not a long time back, Play.com had listed the phone at £650 with and RRP of £670. However, another online retailer Clove has put 16GB phone up for pre-order at £510, whereas 32GB phone can be yours for £590.

Galaxy S II does have some nice specs but the pricing still seems a bit out of line. The phone will be available with 16GB and 32GB storage capacity. It is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and a capacious 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen. Galaxy S II also has 1 GB of RAM, 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front facing one. The phone runs on Android 2.3.

  • OMG!!!

This thing has a higher spec than a Gateway 2000 pc I had 13 years ago. A long while granted but WOW!

    Far too expensive though.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
