Google has officially released the steady version of Chrome 9 browser. Well, the new version has rolled out pretty fast as thecompany had released Chrome 8 just two months back, in December. So, now here is one more feather the search giant can add to its cap. Microsoft took 15 years to reach IE9 version, in comparison to a little more than 2 years taken by Google.

Chrome 9 comes equipped with three key features which are Chrome Web Store, Chrome Instant and WebGL. Chrome Web Store is currently open for US users only and will offer two sample apps. Chrome Instant will bring the functionality of 'instant search' to your URL bar. The instant search function had been around for some time, and now the things have just got easier. Finally, there is WebGL, which is a new standard for integrating hardware accelerated 3D graphics with your browser. Google has also released some demos, which you may try out. Chrome 9 is already out and you can download it here.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
