One of the important features which everyone will be dying to hear about on the release date of the iPad 2 on the 9th of February will be details of the iPad 2 display.
We have already heard that we expect the iPad 2 will feature a slimmer display, however to add to the speculation 9to5 Mac have managed to get hold of a photo which they say is the iPad 2 display.
Apart from the display being thinner and lighter, the photos also show that the display could be a lot larger especially as the leaked iPad 2 shows a smaller frame than its predecessor.
It is definitely a step in the right direction for Apple, as I know that many people have been holding out for the iPad 2 rather than buying the iPad, to ensure that they get the most slimmest and portable model out there.
What do you think? Are you holding out for the release of the iPad 2? Leave your comments below…

I have ipad and buy pad 2 too
I am holding out for a 2nd Gen tablet. I went to CES and was very excited by the Motorola Xoom and Acer Iconia A500 but they appear to be pricing them too high. The Xoom is rumored to be priced at $700-$800. Sure that isn’t a bad price compared to the Ipad since it is superior to the Ipad. But, it is DOA compared to the Ipad 2. Take this screen, more memory, a dual core A9 cortex chip, and a dual core SGX543 chip and you have a computer that will spank the Xoom in every way but Flash support, microSD card, and USB ports. I am beginning to think I would take a Ipad 2 over the Xoom. The Ipad 2 will for sure have LTE and since I have plenty of content already in Itunes for my wife’s ipod touch and our other ipods you can see how my venture into the tablet arena may just lye at the feet of Apple. Sad because I so wanted to throw my support behind Android. I am anything but an Apple fan. But when it comes down to it I as well as most people will just buy the best product.

Are we both looking at the same picture or are you getting confused?
A smaller frame doesn’t mean a bigger screen it just means a smaller total width and height. The usable screen is 9.7″, The frame size won’t alter that.
Shame to see it’s the same resolution. I’m not sure 2 cameras and a slightly faster processor is enough for me to upgrade from the iPad to the next gen version.
I’m also not convinced that they will announce the iPad2 as early as they did with the 1st iPad. The first one was to drum up interest in the product and get people saving. People know about the iPad now so showing their hand early would give other manufacturers more time to badly copy the innovations.
