AT&T has just lost its exclusivity over Apple iPhone 4, but the carrier is on the damage control exercise and may soon get a new shiny handset in its portfolio. Looks like, Google Nexus S is also ready to move beyond T-Mobile in the US. Apparently, some sleuths have a found a new model number in its Bluetooth SIG listing and the number is different from its T-Mobile version.

Nexus S is equipped with the latest version of Android aka Gingerbread and has a spacious 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display with 480×800 resolution. Under the hood, it has got 1GHz processor. It has a reasonably good 5MP rear camera with a front facing VGA camera. Apart from it, the phone has usual bells and whistles such as NFC feature, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also features a microUSB 2.0 port and claims its battery to be good for 6.7 hours on 3G. So, are you excited about getting Nexus S on AT&T?

yes! if it actually happens. I’m not a fan of the iPhone, or really anything that At&t has had to offer yet. This might be the thing that keeps me using them.

  • I have the original Nexus One, AT&T version and would probably buy the new Nexus if it had AT&T 3G capability and was a Google phone and not one of those bastardized AT&T Android devices. Right now I can tether for no extra charge and download non-market apps. That’s something AT&T branded Android devices can’t do.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
