Google Nexus S had been plagued with quite a few problems. Luckily, its wayward SMS bug problem has now been fixed, but still many Nexus S owners have complained about their phone rebooting in the middle of an active call. Apparently, Google is now planning to fix this problem as well via an OTA update.
The update is likely to be available within next week or two. One of the company employees has confirmed that the initial fix tests have yielded positive results. Google will be airing the update once the final verification of the fix is done. Nexus S also seems to be facing some Home and Button issues, where the buttons and the capacitive screen sometimes act up. Google replied to a user' complaint stating that the company is aware of the issue and is planning to correct this problem in an upcoming OTA update. So, all Nexus S owners, do let us know if your phones have some other problems and let's see how fast Google can fix them.

problems that i and a whole bunch of other users on the google help forums have experienced with the nexus s:
1. random reboot during long (more than 5 mins) calls OR music playback
2. the home and back button sometimes is unresponsive. same applies to the touch screen at times
3. the ringtones get changed and set to random default values
4. the in-call volume is painfully loud although the volume is set to min. to correct this one needs to put the volume all the way up and then try to reduce it. others have experienced very low in-call volumes but the problem is pretty much the same.
5. incorrect display of signal strength
6. incorrect bluetooth functionality. it has been said that this could be to the fact that the nexus s uses 6 digits passwords instead of the default 4 like most devices.
7. problems with the WLAN. if you use the N protocole on a wireless router, after a period of inactivity the phone does not connect to the WLAN anymore. a restart of the phone or router is required.
these are a few of the problems that this so called “high end” device came with from stock. it is a beta device in fact, released too early to get a piece of the holiday sales. i feel utterly disappointed and let down by Google and i regret my purchase.
All of the issues mentioned above have occured on my phone as well….
This is really a BETA phone that needs a lot more than a quick fix software patch….
