Although Expansys UK is letting you pre-order LG Optimus 2X for £499, the retailer has now tied up with Vodafone for offering you

the phone for free. Well, of course, for getting a free phone, you will need to sign up a contract. The tariffs for the phone will start at £30 per month, going up to £35.75. There are different plans with contract period of 18 months and 24 months.

The phone was expected to start shipping in February, but looks like the date has been pushed to March 21. So, if you do not mind waiting for about two months, you can go ahead and pre-order it from Expansys website. The killer phone boasts of being the first Android handset with Tegra 2 dual core chip. The phone will come with Android 2.2 installed on it, but it is eligible for upgrade to 2.3 version. Optimus offers generous display real estate with its 4 inch WVGA screen. Its 8MP rear camera is capable of video recording at 1080p. Optimus has on board memory of 8GB which is upgradable to 32GB using a MicroSD card.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
