A couple of days back, when Apple unveiled its Verizon iPhone, tech journos leaped up to see if the new phone suffered the samedeath grip issue that had plagued the AT&T version. Apparently, Verizon phone passed the test and was declared fit to be held in any position you want. The new phone has been given a minor design makeover which fixed the antenna issue. However, the design alteration also ensured that the original bumper case does not fit the new iPhone.
Now, Apple has release a new universal bumper case which will fit both AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4. The mute button on Verizon iPhone 4 is placed slightly lower than the original iPhone 4. However, the new bumper case has taken care of this difference by cutting out the mute button chamber a little wider. The new iPhone 4 is set to hit the market in February and is likely to meet with success, keeping up with the other Apple products. So, tough luck if you were thinking about using your old case with your new phone.
