Samsung Galaxy S Mini Spotted Ahead Of Mobile World Congress

We really like the Samsung Galaxy S and so do 10 million other consumers, so it comes as no surprise that Sammy are planning a new version.

With Mobile World Congress just around the corner and handset leaks coming thick and fast, the latest device to prematurely peak from the covers sees the Samsung Galaxy S return with a Mini form factor.

Having launched in July last year to much acclaim and eventual 2010 global sales that topped the 10 million unit mark, the Android powered Samsung Galaxy S marked Sammy's first true competitor to the market dominating HTC Desire and Apple iPhone.

Called the S5830 it looks to be quite a bit smaller than the Galaxy S with a 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy S mini will apparently come with Google Android 2.2 Froyo, and will feature a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and will come with quad band and WCDMA support.

It also looks like the Samsung Galaxy S mini will feature a similar Super AMOLED display to the original Samsung Galaxy S, as soon as we get more information on price and release we will let you know.

I will never buy a Samsung product. They are holding back
an update to the original Vibrant because the Vibrant 4G is on the
way. Horrible. Just horrible. What a rip off for the original
    Vibrant owners.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
