Minecraft Hits The 1 Million Sales Mark

One of the most addictive sandbox PC games around at the moment, Minecraft has just passed 1 million users. This kind of milestone is incredibly impressive for an indie game, and one that is still technically in beta at that.

Minecraft, which was pretty much created by just one man known as Notch is now in full-on development with the help of Mojang Specifications who are currently working on new projects on the side.

In case you're living in a mine and haven't heard of the game, Minecraft is a first-person building block game where you can create just about anything (assuming you have a lot of time on your hands in some cases), when the game day turns to night it's then all about escaping monsters and hoping you built a shelter in time.

In other Minecraft related"¦stuff, a Kinect hack has meant that the more time aware players can create huge Minecraft images of themselves in a relatively short time.

Minecraft is available now at a 25% off beta price for $14.95 from the official site. Check it out!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
