Google is already an internet behemoth, but its stature has not stopped it from spreading its tentacles farther. The company is nowreported to be in talks with several magazine publishers for setting up its own digital newsstand. Watch your back, Apple! The internet search giant's latest venture is expected to provide media companies with newer ways for selling their publications.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that the company is currently holding talks with companies such as Conde Nast, Hearst Corp. and Time Inc. The interesting part of the negotiations is that Google is baiting the companies with its offer to provide certain personal stats of the customers who choose to buy their digital publication. Let's say good bye to our online privacy now.
Apple had recently launched iPad only magazine and admittedly, the sales so far have been less than encouraging.
