It may be close to the new year but don't get complacent. 2010 has got more problems left to chuck it us.
Skype is the latest company to fall.
The internet communication giants estimate that about two-thirds of its users are still unable to log in after an outage caused by problems with its underlying peer-to-peer interconnection system.
At the moment almost 5 million users are back online but Skype say that that's about 30 percent of the number it would normally expect.
But keep your hat on.
“Our engineers are creating new ‘mega-supernodes’ as fast as they can, which should gradually return things to normal.” they say.
Well let's hope these supernodes come soon as I'm sure plenty of people will be needing the services of Skype this Christmas to chat to their grannies and aunties.
On second thoughts, take your time Skype.
