All the teasing and delays from Google surrounding the Google Nexus S have ended today, as the latest Android Smartphone makes its arrival in the UK.
The Google Nexus S (which was originally teased by Eric Schmidt) is coming in as the flagship device for Google’s latest version of Android – version 2.3 Gingerbread – which should be running very fast thanks to the smartphone’s 1GHz Hummingbird processor.
Other specs included in Google’s freshest smartphone include: a 4-inch Super AMOLOED touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a front-facing VGA camera, a microUSB 2.0 port, 16GB of built-in memory, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and Near Field Communication (NFC).
The smartphone is currently available from the Carphone Warehouse with contract prices starting from £30 per month if you’re after the phone for free, and PAYG and SIM-free costs will set you back £429.99 thanks to the recent cost reduction.
