Apple TV set to exceed 1 million sales.

Despite it’s predcessor’s poor sales Apple have said the new version of their creatively named TV unit, Apple TV is set to reach the million sales mark in the run up to Christmas.

The first version of the Apple, (iTV) didn't exactly do well and Steve Job's 'Hobby device' seemed lost in the shadows of the tech world, but luckily for him, Apple rescued the failing device with tighter integration with the iOS ecosystem when it updated the Apple TV in November adding support for AirPlay in the process.

The newly updated Apple TV has even managed to make it into Time magazine’s list of the top 10 gadgets of 2010, coming in at No. 7. (Obviously The iPad was the top gadget, while the new MacBook Air took fourth, and the iPhone 4 was sixth.)

Have you used Apple TV? If so what's it like?

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
