News:- WiiSpeak Channel, UK Release

Its official, Nintendo have announced that the latest ‘update’ accessory for the Wii will be released in the UK, and only three weeks after its tour of the states.

Having been given the release date of the 5th December 2008, the WiiSpeak microphone will enable voice chat via the internet on Wii for the first time, while the free to download WiiSpeak Channel will let you set up voice chat conversations between up to four Wii consoles simultaneously – although these people have to be on your friends list however.

It also lets you leave audio messages too, and to add that Nintendo touch your Mii appears on your TV screen and mimics your chat.

For those of you wondering how you will get your hands on the kit to get all this up and running, the game Animal Crossing: Let’s go to the City which will be released on the 5th December will come with the WiiSpeak microphone or you can buy it separately if the game is not your cup of tea.

We cannot as of yet however let you know how much the WiiSpeak microphone will cost on its own but I recon it will be cheaper to get the game bundled with it, you can always use the game as a placemat or a doorstop what with the credit crunch every little helps.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
