Although it’s rather unusual for something made almost entirely out of leather to cause a technical problem, Amazon seem to have found a way with their own leather cases for the Amazon Kindle.
The problem, although not confirmed by Amazon themselves apparently revolves around the metal hooks. The hooks, which are meant to conduct electricity in the lighted version of the case, are reportedly causing the Kindle to freeze or reboot in the non-lighted version.
While speaking to PC magazine, Amazon said that they were looking into the reported problem and are willing to offer a refund or replacement to anyone who is experiencing the freezing or reboot problems, regardless of the purchase date of the leather case.
Have you been experiencing the reported technical difficulties with the leather case? If you’re looking to get a refund or replacement, make sure to e-mail kindle-response@amazon.com.
