Windows Phone 7 won’t receive major update until late 2011

The word on the web is that although we should see a couple of minor Windows Phone 7 updates arrive over the next 2 months including one of which will bring the much anticipated copy & paste functions to the device

There is also said to be a major update being built (codenamed Mango) set for a rather late release of August or September 2011.

Mango will apparently bring features like Silverlight runtime support and HTML5 support to the smartphone OS.

Obviously none of this has been confirmed  by Microsoft, but if it proves to be true what do you think about this?

Do you prefer regular updates like Android offers or would you actually prefer one or two major updates a year?
It does seem a while for WP7 uers to wait for HTML5.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
