Google Nexus S UK Release Date Expected for 20th December - Pre Orders Available Now

With the recent announcement that the Google Nexus S UK release date will be on the 20th of December, it would appear that pre-orders are already been taken at Carphone Warehouse, in which PAYG and pay monthly tariffs are available.

To buy the Google Nexus S on PAYG, it will set you back a whopping £549.95. However, if you don’t have that kind of cash to spare then there is always the pay monthly options, which start from £35 per month to get the phone for free.

The Nexus S is being offered by the four main network providers which include O2, T-Mobile, Orange and Vodafone and I have a suspicion that other networks such as Three will follow suit.

So in a nutshell what does the new arrival from Google include? The Google Nexus S comes touting a four-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with an 800 x 480 WVGA resolution. For all you happy snappers it has a decent 5MP camera, and the ability to film in 720p at 30 frames per second.

Under its bonnet it comes packed with the Samsung Hummingbird 1GHz processor with 16GB of internal storage. The Nexus S certainly has some pretty amazing specs so can it beat off the iPhone 4 competition? What do you think? The iPhone 4 or the Google Nexus S? Which one do you think will be the festive season smartphone winner?

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
