Although we have got it straight from horse's mouth or in this case, straight from Steve Jobs that 7-inch tablets are "DOA". However,
we will be darned if that puts an end to speculations. Now, that we are getting a lot to hear about iPad 2, Reuters has cited some Asian manufacturing sources claiming that Apple indeed is working on a Mini iPad, which is expected to be "almost half the size of the current model".
And that's where the details about the new model end. However a Kaufman Bros analyst has pointed that Jobs has previous track record of denying the products, which later are released with much flourish. He also has cited the example of iPod with video capabilities. The existence of the product was vehemently denied but it turned out to be a real product.
However, we can almost rest assured that the next gen iPad, whatever its size may be, will come equipped with dual camera and a better screen. The new iPad is expected to be launched sometime in April 2011.
