It seems like any new gadget that is released is hit by some sort of 'teething problem.' Can anyone remember the days when things just, worked? Maybe they never really existed.
Apple's new recently released MacBook Air models didn't manage to avoid the old 'release bug.' Not a major flaw as such but probably very annoying all the same; several Mac users complained that the new Air book's had a issue with their display which caused such delights as a flickering as well as and the screen turning itself on and off of its own accord.
A typically lazy and customer un-friendly reply from apple was to close the lid and reopen it thus causing the Airbook to 'sleep' and rebooting/reloading it once opened again.
To be fair to Apple though they've now released new drivers in an update which (once installed) will deal with any pesky display issues on the new 11 or 13 inch MacBook Air models.
But it would be great if people who fork out a wad of cash for the latest technolgy don't have to be greeted by problems and wait weeks for an 'update' to fix them.
In case you don't already know, you can grab the updates by checking for updates in the Apple menu at the top of the screen.
