Google Working on new Social Network Plan Called Google +1

After quite a few debacles on the social networking front, Google has still not lost hope and is working on a secret social project. Well, the project is not so-secret anymore as the alleged snapshots of the project are doing rounds on the internet. The project is possibly called Google +1.

The leaked image shows that the new venture is likely to result in the addition of a toolbar on top of all Google pages. You will also have the provision of adding username and a profile picture, and there will be a familiar "Share" button. The leaked image also shows a numerical count, however its utility has not been figured out yet. Google is said to have a "group" option too, which would be called "Loop". It is rumored that the company is also working on an iPhone app of the same name.

The leaked image has not met with any kind reviews. According to most of the reviews, the project leaves a lot to be desired. Google has refused to comment on the leaks.

  • I like the ‘Loops’ name. I’m hoping they stick with it and produce a viable facebook option. I would actually enjoy logging into gmail and having all of my new google friends (loops) popup instantly. We’ll see how it goes…
