The Android 2.2 Froyo update has been a distressing wait for many Samsung Galaxy S users, but today the Three network users of the smartphone can look forward to finally getting the soon-to-be-outdated Google OS version.
Much like has been required from people updating from other networks, Three users will need to download the update via the KIES software tool, since OTA updates haven’t been obtainable for the Samsung Galaxy S.
For those of you who are on T-Mobile who have had the annoyance of a delay in the update from last week, you must unfortunately remain patient on the matter, although T-mobile are reportedly releasing the update this week (don’t get your hopes up too much though).
The Samsung Galaxy S is one of Samsung’s top smartphones at the moment, and it’s unfortunate that getting the latest Android OS is taking so long. We’ll be looking at Android 2.3 Gingerbread soon, but don’t expect that being pushed onto the devices any time soon. We’re hoping the update is working fine for Three users, and make sure to let us know what you think of the update in the comments.
