Record Both Ways With The Ion Twin Video Camera

Looking for something a little unique to record videos with this Christmas? Well Ion have a new take on recording two things at once. The Twin Video Camera features a front and back facing camera which can be easily switched between with the press of a button while recording.

The Twin Video Camera features microphones on both sides of the camera making it ideal for recording interviews, but could also be used as a fun tool for making reaction videos if you feel like attempting YouTube fame. Conveniently, all recorded content can be easily uploaded to a computer via USB for your YouTube and Facebook video needs. The device uses normal SD cards for storage.

Ion seem to be a fan of doubling everything up, as there are lenses on boths sides of the camera, as well as lights for night-time recording.

The videos record at a 640 x 480 resolution at 30fps, so don’t expect great screen-filling quality when it comes to your videos, but this is far from a professional device. The camera also has a 3x zoom, an included tripod, and a rechargeable battery.

Unfortunately, one of the downsides seems to be you can’t simultaneously record, which would have been a good feature for people who like editting their videos alot, but otherwise it gets the job done.

The Ion Twin Video Camera comes in at £130, which is pretty decent considering the camera’s unique feature.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
