Following closely in the footsteps of Orange, Three is due to release contract-binded iPads with WiFi and 3G to those who aren’t a fan of paying full price for the tablet. Although iPad prices are very similar throughout with the 24 month contract deal, Three has a notably larger monthly data allowance than Orange, offering 15GB of data for £25 a month.
On the 24 month contract of £25 pounds a month you there are three different iPad options; the 16GB model which will cost you the least at £199, the 32GB model is £249, and the 64GB model can be grabbed for £349 (making this aspect identical to Orange).
Three is also offering an alternative deal where customers can buy one of the three iPads (£529 for the 16GB, £599 for the 32GB, and £699 for the 64GB models), and instead choose from a selection of Micro-SIM tariffs. On a one month rolling contract you can choose between 1GB of data a month for £7.50 or 10GB for £15. For pay-as-you-go deals, you can get 1GB of data lasting 30 days for £10 or 3GB of data lasting 30 days for £20.
So at the moment, it looks like Three may be the better option if you are looking to grab an iPad with WiFi and 3G this Christmas. Do Three’s deals offer enough of an incentive to convince the more money-tight to grab an iPad in the shopping season?
