With Christmas just a few weeks away, the list of presents you need to buy keeps on getting longer. This list will no doubt include various members of your family and friends and there is almost a certainty that one of them will include a self confessed music junkie. Now, just like a shoe fan, one thing a music junkie just can’t have too many of is headphones. So, whether you’re on a budget or ready to splash the cash, below you will find a list of low, mid and high ranged headphones to make any music fan happy on Christmas day!
Low Range: Sennheiser CX300-II: £15
These headphones will normally set you back around £40, but thanks to some very nice price reductions, the CX300-II is even better value for money. Now don’t be fooled by the £15 price tag as these headphones will offer a dramatic improvement over your old standard headphones and instead you will receive deep bass, fantastic detail and sound clarity.
They do however, require a little bit of running time before they perform at their best but after a few hours of play the music will sound crisp and fresh without burning a whole in your pocket.
Mid Range: Sennheiser RS 180: £160
These are perfect to use with a desktop PC as you’ll be cable free with these wirless headphones. As well as its wireless free feature, the headphones are super comfortable and fit neatly onto any head.
The sound quality is amazing and pump out some amazing bass, however the price of around £160 may make you think twice. If you’re looking for a wireless piece of head gear then these headphones are definitely for you, however if you’re not bothered then save the pennies and get yourself a wired option for less the price.
The AKG K702 comes sporting a swanky headphone amp, which make up quality, open-backed headphones. These will create a sound to rival hi-fi speakers ten times the price. Although, the £230 price bracket does seem pretty steep for a pair of headphones, it does however offer amazing sound quality so if you’re buying for someone else, this person has to be pretty special for you to fork out on these headphones.
