Good news for all the Farmville and other Facebook game addicts! Tesco and GAME have started selling Facebook credits in the form
of gift cards. Facebook credits is a virtual currency which you can use for buying stuff on your favorite Facebook games. So, now you do not need to wait for gathering enough credits for buying your favorite seeds or a patch of land. All you need to do is to pop up at one of your nearby GAME or Tesco store and buy a gift card, which is available in £10 and £20 denomination.
Now, that we have told you about a very easy way of getting rid of that pesky cash in your pockets, let us also tell you that virtual goods economy is likely to hit £550 million mark this year. US market for these nonexistent goods is expected to amount to $1.6 billion this year, whereas globally, people would be spending $6 billion on buying pixilated flowers and animals.
GAME would be offering these cards at 650 of its outlets whereas 600 Tesco stores will also provide you with the same service. 30% of the value of goods transacted using such currency would be retained by Facebook.
