Namco has announced that they will be releasing a range of games for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Operating System. This range includes the ultimate retro game Pac-Man and the hard-to-control I Love Katamari. Expect plenty of japan-ness in these first releases from Namco.

The full range of Namco games released includes:

  • Puzzle Quest 2 – An RPG Strategy Puzzle game which uses the popular casual Bejeweled-style gameplay for combat.
  • Pac-Man – The video game icon of the 80’s is once again remade to give the dot-munching ghost fleer another breath of life.
  • I Love Katamari – The usually tricky to control adhesive ball rolling game where you keep rolling up bigger and bigger items to make the ball big enough for getting certain items.
  • More Brain Exercise with Dr Kawashima – The brain straining puzzle game which comes with 15 new puzzles all intended to use different parts of the brain.
  • Flight Control – You play as an air traffic controller who must guide various aircraft to safety on the platform. The game which was originally released on the iPhone includes an exclusive map for the WP7 version.

No word on the prices of the games at the moment unfortunately but to see a sneaky peek at the games in action make sure to take a look at the video link at the bottom.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
