At the moment the war of the GPUs between NVIDIA and AMD has been at a bit of a stalemate with each company holding back on what the next big thing will be for computer graphics. NVIDIA has taken a move now however, showing a tease of some new technology for potentially upcoming products from the GPU makers. It has not been made official that it will be used straight away with NVIDIA keeping tight-lipped about the GPU using the tech, but it gives us an idea of things to come and the display for upcoming GPUs is looking very promising.
The new technology for their cards is a vapour changing cooling technology. It is well known among GPU enthusiasts that keeping your card cool is essential for high performance gaming with fast responses. There are already methods to help prevent overheating and keeping the card cool such as the most common fan method (which has its limits) and the more recent liquid cooling methods but NVIDIA seem to be taking things one step further.
The main appeal of this new tech from NVIDIA is that it promises to be much quieter than the current cooling methods (when being strained a fan card can get very very loud). NVIDIA have said that the new GPU which will use the tech will be quieter than the GTX 480, and shows promise for what we can see in the future of PC gaming and GPU technology. Now poses the question, will AMD have a decent response to this new tech from NVIDIA? We’ll be finding out in the near future hopefully. A video of the technology being announced can be found in the link below which also shows off the rather amazing quality of their new card which at the moment has unannounced specs.

I dont mean to ber offensive but if you are an enthusiast pc owner you would buy custom cooling for your gpu anyway, a simple cooling thing isnt exactly big news considering the relese of the ati 6900 series around the corner promising the next gen of graphics when nvidia are still struggling with todays…
Did you really say, “will AMD have a decent response to this new tech from NVIDIA?”
AMD has been using Vapor Cooling Chambers in its own cards since the 2900 series. This is not even remotely a new tech from NVIDIA.
of course that nvidia videocards are better than those from amd. because nvidia use more advanced technology to create the gpu than amd, or not?. but my idea is this : intel is on the first place with the advance of technology what changes our future.
