The upcoming version of Mozilla Firefox (Firefox 4) was due to have its final version released next month, but this seems to be suffering from white iPhone 4 disease (also known as delays) which has moved the release date to early 2011.
According to Mozilla's recently updated release schedule, instead of the November release as originally planned, Mozilla have decided to release three more beta versions of the browser - two in November and one in December. This could mean we will see the complete version ready for January, but for now the early 2011 stamp remains ambiguous.
Mozilla Corp., who manage the development of Firefox said: "As discussed in today's Firefox delivery meeting, release candidate builds are now scheduled to ship in early 2011, with the final GA release shortly after"
This delay probably isn't too much to get worked up about however, as you can easily play around on the beta versions in the mean time if you’re a Firefox fan. If you’re lucky enough, you may find a bug or two to help the guys out (it doesn’t go without its rewards).
