White iPhone 4 Delay Caused by Faulty Camera?

Now, that Apple has again postponed the launch of its white iPhone, it's time to set the rumor mills start working again. So far, thedelay has largely been attributed to a very credible (Cough! Cough!) reason of the mismatch in the button and body color. But people who had been eagerly waiting for this hitherto mythical device certainly need some better excuse. So the latest rumor is about the malfunctioning camera of the while iPhone 4. It has been reported that the white phone case has some light leakage issues with its camera. These issues are more prominent when the flash is used.

An anonymous tipster with connections to Apple has said that contrary to previous rumors of light leakage out from the phone, the actual reason is the light leaking back in. Apparently this happens because of the phone's semi-translucent glass case. Although, Apple is looking to isolate the camera sensor, but the problem is likely to force the company to go for complete redesign. If these rumors are true, then looks like we still have a long road ahead to lay our hands on the white iPhone. We just hope that the white iteration of iPhone 4 hits the shelves before iPhone 5 does.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
