Samsung and Google's answer to the iPod Touch seems to be just around the corner after an advert has been released for the Samsung Galaxy Player 50.
The Galaxy Player is an Android 2.1 running media player, with plenty of fancy features to give some strong competition to Apple's iPod Touch. The device sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 2-Megapixel camera, the choice between 8GB and 16GB of internal memory, a microSD slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Div-X support.
The device also has access to the Android Market, so expect to get a lot more out of the device than what it comes with. There have been no confirmed prices yet, although the Galaxy Player is apparently already being sold in one French retailer for €200 (£177 approx) so we will likely be seeing the device for the holiday season.
You can check out the advert through this link, and please tell me I'm not alone in thinking that the finger used to navigate everything looks really weird.

In France, it’s currently available as a pre-order.
does it have TFT instead of AMOLED!? well, I think TFT can also be very good and absolutely clear! but 240×400 screen seems a little small for this powerful device! if they want to challenge Apple they need to have the best screens! so for nothing extraordinary!)
