Facebook Fixes Problem Priorities: No More ‘Photo Memories’ Pictures of Your Ex

It's a shame Facebook can't seem to keep their priorities straight when it comes to problems with the social-networking service. Instead of attempting to fix something important (like the rather surprising third-party capabilities over your Facebook ID), they decide you may appreciate it a little more if you didn't have to look at pictures of your ex so often.

You may have noticed something on Facebook called the Photo Memories box, which tends to show seemingly random pictures from long times ago but in fact has favour towards pictures which you have shown attention to a lot or have lots of status and wall posts from or to. This means that you are very likely to get a girlfriend/boyfriend showing up in this or an ex. This is apparently haunting enough for some people for Facebook to justify taking that burden away.

Sam Odio, the Facebook Photo Boss, revealed to Inside Facebook that, "Photo Memories no longer shows tagged photos of your friends if you were previously in a relationship with them." So hooray, now that that colossal problem is out of the way can you please do something about our privacy issues Facebook?

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
