MacBook Air prototype: Apple to give us increased battery capacity?

Ever since the ‘Back to Mac’ event was announced, us and every other tech and gadget website in the World started pondering the possibility of a Mac refresh. The rumours were fuelled by the drying up of the latest MacBooks and after all it won't be a huge surprise, Mac is due a refresh.

We could all just calm down, wait patiently for Wednesday and see what happens then. But where's the fun in that.

The good old leaked picture has made an appearance.  The image is said to show a new 13.3-inch MacBook Air with the lower panel opened, showing the increase in battery capacity. After taking out HyperMac, Apple's own solution to the battery life problem would make a lot of sense.

But the leak mentions that it’s still running the same Core 2 Duo SL9400 processor as the current generation MacBook Air. So either Apple is sticking with Core 2 Duo or this prototype MacBook
dates back to around April time.

Other improvements seen on the leak include a modern' unibody style chassis', along with a large single mouse button trackpad, similar to that found on modern MacBooks.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
