Apple seems to be waiting for good two weeks before releasing the successive betas of its work-in-progress iOS4.2. The company has
just released its third beta, bundled with second beta of iTunes 10.1. The new beta has some new features and a bug. Developers have found a bug which affects the AirPrint functionality. When printing from iPhone, this bug sometimes commands the printer to print the image the size of the iPhone screen instead of the original size of the image.
There are also some features which have gone AWOL, like the AirPlay is missing from the Videos, Photos and YouTube apps. The new beta has also updated the modem firmware. Among the new features is the addition of more text message tone. Apparently, 17 new SMS ringtones have been added and these new tones include "Choo Choo", "Calypso", "Tiptoes" and "Sherwood Forest".
And new iTunes 10 icon will now grace your screen when you connect to iTunes using your iPad. Apple had released the first beta of iOS4.2 four weeks back, which was followed by second beta two weeks after. iOS 4.2 will also introduce a new icon for Voice memo app on iPhones.
