The Yahoo! Messenger app for the iPhone has released a new update giving further possibilities for their mobile service. The update for the messenger app has a few new features, most notably the new video calls feature which allows 1-to-1 live streaming from your device.
The update also now features voice calls to other Yahoo! Messenger users for free and you are also able to call mobile and landlines with the app (although this costs money taken from your Yahoo! Account).
There is also the new multitasking feature which allows the app to run in the background while you use your device for whatever other reasons you may need at the time.
As well as this, there is a new stretch in where messages can be sent from an iOS device including other iOS devices, PC's and even Android devices.
To use all the apps new features you will require an iPhone 4 running on iOS 4.1, and with the iPhone 3GS you can use all the new features bar the video calling naturally.
If you want to know anything else about the app you can find out more about it in the iTunes store (and it's free!). Make sure to let us know what you think of the new update.
