Xbox 360 slim portable: the $6000 Ben Heck mod.

How does an Xbox 360 slim portable sound? Awesome right? The perfect accessory for a game-party, the coolest thing to take on a train journey. Well I'll stop selling it to you now because unless you've got $3000 to $6000 in your wallet and you're a good friend of infamous console 'modder' Ben Heck you'd better just by a PSP or hold out for the 3Ds.

The Mod marvel famous for his Xbox Laptop and PS3 Laptop is now showing off his portable laptop-style Xbox 360 which comes complete with an internal hard drive and a 17-inch HD display.

Apparently the mod runs very quietly, thanks to the Xbox 360 Slim's new cooling fan and the touch sensitive power and eject buttons are still kept intact.

And if you want to know more about the device then, the entire DIY process has been explained over the first 6 episodes of The Ben Heck Show.

Maybe someone could stick a Blu-Ray player in an Xbox to shut the Sony fanboys up.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
