Electronic Arts, one of the biggest players in the gaming industry, has announced its support for Windows Phone 7. Electronic Arts is the company behind the games such The Sims and Madden NFL. The company also demoed The Sims 3 live during Microsoft launch event in NYC. EA has said that it will be launching four of its games for WP7 at its launch on November 7th. These games are The Sims 3, Monopoly, Speed Undercover and Tetris. Pretty neat line up, we'd say.
These games will also have Xbox Live features such as tracking, communicating facility and unlocking achievements. If you already have Xbox Live gamertag, then you can import your friends list, current achievements and game history directly to your WP7 phone.
Microsoft also said that it will have 60 games on offer at launch time and the games would come from prominent gaming houses such as PopCap Games, Gameloft, THQ and Konami. The company's in house Microsoft Game Studios will also be introducing some games for the new platform. So far, things sound promising on the gaming front for Windows Phone 7. All we have to do is to wait a little to get a skinny on the full list of games to be made available on the phones.
