Nobody can dispute the popularity and success of iPad. However, unlike iPhone, which ruled the roost for a long time without any
worthy competitor around, iPad is likely to have quite a few challengers in the form of Android tablets. According to research firm Piper Jaffray, the projected sales figures for iPad seem to be too radical and need to be notched down. It also claimed that iPad was more quickly badgered by competition than iPhone. The firm analyst said that the rumors about Apple looking to make around 45 million iPads next year look a bit too forceful.
Piper Jaffray also warned that Apple can't and won't match the collective innovation of the various Android tablet makers. It also said that the company might have to up its ante when it comes to innovation. The research firm also cited the example of Android handsets stealing iPhone's thunder, however, in case of iPad, the solo reign of the tablet may not last as long as it did for iPhone. Now, that we are expecting a flurry of Android Tablets in the holiday season. All we have to do is to wait and see whether the research firm got it right. What is your opinion? Is it going to be iPad or an Android tablet for you this Christmas?

Definitely and Android 2.2 Tablet. …
It’s easy for companies to copy a good idea, surely if the tablet was a good idea when Apple released the iPad, it must have been a good idea BEFORE the iPad came out.
So, when it comes to “Apple can’t and won’t match the collective innovation of the various Android tablet makers”, I’m afraid that’s nonsense. These companies weren’t innovative enough to make it first and innovation isn’t measured by copying a device and then adding every conceivable idea to it as it’ll just have even more stuff you won’t use.
The iPad isn’t perfect but until iPad2 comes out, it won’t be surpassed.
Apple is more innovative than any company out there.
