With the Windows Phone 7 event set to kick off in just a couple of hours, we're ready to see the big guns to be pulled out by various phone manufacturers today, but it seems some people in LG just can't contain their excitement and has pre-emptively revealed one of their upcoming WP7 Smartphone's, the LG Optimus 7. A few days ago we had almost nothing to go on from leaks of the phone, only aware of the obvious touchscreen and the 5-megapixel camera.
The touchscreen is a 3.8-inch WVGA display, and the 5-megapixel camera we already knew about has an LED flash, recording of 720p HD video, and 360-degree panorama photo capabilities. The device measures in at 125 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm, and various other specs that have been revealed by this early reveal are showing 16GB of internal storage, a 1,500mAh battery, Bluetooth 2.1, accelerometer and proximity sensor, GPS, a digital compass and ambient light sensor.
LG have been reported to be preloading various apps on their devices to differentiate their WP7 experience from other devices. Apps which are supposedly being used include Scansearch which allows augmented reality shopping and dining, a voice-to-text app which can be used on Facebook, Twitter, e-mails or memos and Play-To DLNA streaming.
There is no word on pricing as of yet, but with the official release imminent we will hopefully have that piece of information in the press release. For now, enjoy your early look at the upcoming LG WP7 device.
