weirdest props ive used were hotdogs and a loaf of bread when demonstrating a maths problem in a presentation
weirdest props ive used was a bald head (person sat on floor) as everything else was too high up – only problem it was shaped like a pyramid.
A huge teddy plus a set of children’s clothes to dress him – demonstrating the difference between simulation programmes and real life to 5 year olds!
Many (Many) years ago we were all asked to bring a banana into school for a sex education lesson, thank goodness it was an all girls school. The rather hilarious lesson was how to fit a condom…. the lesson was most amusing and no doubt useful & the banana which was quite a luxury was most enjoyable too!
Had to give a Health and Safety presentation (..don’t ask they had this thing at work and whoever picked the short straw was it for that week! ..anyway it counted towards your review so you had to make it effective)
Well the topic was fire safety in hotels abroad ..so I made a cardboard cutout of a Hotel and as everybody settled down and the lights dimmed set it alight…caused quite a stir…of course i had a small fire extinguisher to hand to put it out..but it brought the danger home to everyone present and I didn’t get any ribbing..but the full attention of all present even for all the dry statistics of survival rates dependent on which floor you stayed on etc …and everyone talked about it for weeks! :-)
The competition has now closed! The winner will be announced shortly. Thank you to all of you for entering!
My projector win arrived just before Christmas we set it up and the kids had a whale of a time watching there favourite movies on their bedroom wall.
What a gem will come in handy for work too wonderful Thank you and a Happy & Prosperous New Year to all at Gaj-it!!
