As Zukerberg has his life story splattered across the big screen he is preparing for a Facebook press conference which will take place later today. But the social networking site has refused to give any details about what it will unveil at the press conference.
Rumours of a 'Facebook phone' have been flying around for a while now but Facebook adamantly denies it.
Tech Crunch Reported that Facebook engineers have been in "lockdown" for the last two months recoding the site and that a new layout is on the way which will feature bigger profile pictures, changes to Facebook Chat, and a new theme running throughout the site to bring all pages in line with Facebook Place.
Other experts believe Facebook could use the press conference to announce changes to its Events platform, or to launch a Facebook "toolbar" that will enable people to access their Facebook accounts and news feeds from any web page.
Facebook could also use the event to officially announce a partnership with Skype.
Personally I'd be happy with a dislike button. What do you think is going to be announced? Whatever it is; we'll find out later today.

I don’t think I would want to own a ‘Facebook’ phone. I love my iPhone too much and it can access all Facebook functions anyway. I don’t see the point of creating yet ‘another’ brand of phones. People soon won’t be able to buy a new phone (unless they’re rich) as they get trapped in stupidly priced and long 24 months+ contracts.
The idea of a Facebook the Social Phone network does however sound a great idea. If that’s indeed what people want to do with their time :)
The problem is when I access Facebook and go into the status box I have to click twice which is very annoying, and sometimes the whole text I had been writing, erased! I hop these will be fixed!
