The Samsung Galaxy Tab is going to be available to all you iPad defiers out there soon, and we seem to know almost everything we need too about it. Well, one last thing we thought we’d point out before the Android-packing tablet device goes on sale is that it’s using the Gorilla glass display – the same kind used on the Samsung Galaxy S.
The Galaxy Tab features a seven-inch portable screen, video calling, full-web browsing functions, and is powered by Android 2.2. The durable, thin display and sleek design of the GALAXY Tab is enabled in part by using Corning Gorilla glass as a cover glass. Continuing a tradition of more than 150 years of innovation in materials science and technology, Corning Gorilla glass is an environmentally friendly alkali-aluminosilicate thin-sheet glass designed specifically to function as a cover glass for high-end display devices such as notebook PCs, televisions, and mobile phones.
Just in case you wish to catch up on the other specs anyway, the device features a 7-inch LCD display, a 1GHz processor, a front-facing camera and Android 2.2 Froyo. What do you think about the Galaxy Tab? Leave your thoughts below.
