Thrustmaster Ferrari GT F430 Wireless Cockpit for the PS3 – feel like a genuine Formula 1 driver!

With the Japanese Grand Prix coming up next weekend, and the F1 2010 official game having been released a short time ago, racing is the big hype of the moment. If you want to give Lewis Hamilton a run for his money without risking the dangers of high speed racing, then here is the next best thing: The Thrustmaster Ferrari GT F430 Wireless Cockpit for the PS3 (also compatible with your PC too).

The frame is rigid but adjustable to allow easy usage by children and adults, no matter what type of chair you’re using as your racing seat, and its range can stretch to more than 10 metres away from your console, with a battery that claims to have 50 hours of life in it. It’s foldaway for easy storage, and has a carry handle so you can take it to your mates house to brag. As for design, it borrows heavily from the features of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia's "musetto", being the same metallic colour and having copies of the same model’s pedal and steering wheel. There’s also sequential gears and magnetic resistance in the brakes for that added realism.

Fancy piece of kit for some Sunday morning gaming huh?

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
